Parents learn to cook foods from various cultures and make their own cookbooks while learning good nutritional habits. Parents are also shown how to use cooking to improve their children’s reading skills

LEAP consultants from various countries teach about the different customs, languages, beliefs, and art forms of their cultures through slide shows, cooking, music, and art.

Developing Fine Motor Skills
A Leap artist teaches parents how developing fine motor skills improves children's handwriting, decreases frustration and helps them succeed in school. Parents learn a wide variety of simple craft projects from story collages to jewelry making that they can recreate at home with their children.

Doll Making
Create dolls from fimo clay, fabric, stockings, needle, thread, and/or stuffing. These can be personal portraits, portraits of children, other people, or animals.
