ALLL- Statistical Findings
Leap's "Active Learning Leads to Literacy" program is making the grade! According to an NYU study, students in the program consistently outperformed a control group of their peers, making mprovements as impressive as 33% in literacy skills such as vocabulary and reading expression.

Attendance Improvement/Dropout Prevention
Congruent with AI/DP regulations. Programming includes activities such as school and community murals, photo essays, architectural studies, designing and other activities designed to promote multicultural understandings and enhanced self image.

Activities revolve around gaining an insight into behavior. Students are provided with opportunities to set goals, create possibilities in seemingly impossible situations, develop trust, analyze values, and appreciate others.

Activities focus on improving self-esteem -- students learn about the concepts of responsibility, group needs, goal orientation, decision-making, and self-magnificence.

Activities focus on the value of clear communication -- students learn to communicate in positive terms, speak for themselves, express their feelings, to ask, to question, and to interpret.

Early Childhood Development through the Arts
Leap’s early childhood programs use dance, creative movement, arts and crafts, hands-on science, cooking, story-telling, and music to promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of young children.

ESL/ Bilingual Education
The programs utilize a variety of learning approaches appropriate for grades K - 9. Programming includes architectural studies, photography, dramatization of literature, creative cookery, multicultural music and dance, and crafts from around the world.
