 STEAM Programs

Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs weaves Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) learning into a hands-on program where students create an invention or business venture that solves a community problem. Students have the opportunity to work collaboratively using exploratory problem- solving to identify a community need, design and build prototype solutions, and create a business pitch.

Designed specifically for students in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade, Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs provides student centered activities that allow a young person to take ownership in the design process. Our young innovators gain entrepreneurial competencies such as creativity, confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking. Through the program, students will:

  • Build persuasive writing skills to support problem- solving.

  • Expand creativity through student-centered entrepreneurial art making.

  • Foster student resilience in a goal-oriented classroom model.

  • Discuss world challenges, identifying an issue to solve in an entrepreneurial way.

  • Collaboratively develop prototypes and persuasive descriptions to present their solutions.

At the culmination of the program, students partake in an Innovation Fair, where they present their inventions and business ventures to industry professionals. Representatives from well-known companies listen to student pitches and provide positive and constructive feedback to the growing entrepreneurs. At the closing of the event, student entrepreneurs share their experiences through a talkback session and win awards for “Best Brand,” “Most Innovative,” and “Most Persuasive” designs.

Other LEAP STEAM programs include Video Game Design and Coding, Big Shot Camera projects, and Engineering Concepts in Our Community.
